Deploy
Set up and operate Polars Nanook in your own infrastructure. Choose a deployment compares the deployments, and Security and data boundaries lists what leaves your infrastructure.
-
AWS
The CloudFormation stack, an existing VPC and the workspace compute defaults. Queries start compute with a
ComputeContext. -
Helm chart
On any Kubernetes cluster such as EKS, GKE or AKS.
-
Bare-metal
The
polars-nanook-computepackage and one TOML file per node: network addresses, example configurations, Slurm and the config file reference. -
Air-gapped
A Helm chart or bare-metal cluster with no connection to the Polars control plane, on the Enterprise plan.
-
Operate a cluster
Worker resources and memory, shuffle storage and checkpointing, and monitoring and query history of a cluster you run.
Cluster components
A cluster you run consists of workers, a scheduler that also keeps the query queue, and an observatory, the cluster dashboard that profiles queries. Clients reach the scheduler and the observatory as described in Connect to a cluster you run.
